Cookies and Google Analytics

(1) We use so-called cookies. These are small text files that contain data about visited web pages and that your browser stores. Cookies serve to recognise a previously visited website by a particular browser and to optimise the website. If you do not agree to the use of cookies, you can change this by adjusting your browser settings accordingly.

(2) This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA. We would like to point out that the Google Analytics code on this website has been extended by the “anonymizeIP” feature, which ensures an anonymised collection of IP addresses. As a result, your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transmission. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.

Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website in full. In addition, you can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Further information on terms of use and data protection can be found at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html.

For the website facebook.com, Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland is responsible. The social plugins of Pinterest are marked with a Pinterest logo. The website pinterest.com is operated by Pinterest Inc., 808 Brannan Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. For the website Instagram, Instagram, LLC (ATTN: Arbitration Opt-out, 1601 Willow Rd., Menlo Park, CA 94025) is responsible.

Marketing

(1) Facebook Custom Audiences and Website Custom Audiences

We use the communication tools Product Custom Audiences and Website Custom Audiences from Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. If you have a Facebook user account and this can be recognised by existing Facebook cookies, a non-personal checksum is generated. This is used for analysis and marketing purposes and transmitted to Facebook. In addition, we transmit your e-mail addresses in encrypted form to Facebook. This allows Facebook to display product recommendations as personalised Facebook ads on our behalf. For more information about the purpose and scope of data collection, processing and use by Facebook and your settings options, please refer to Facebook’s privacy information (https://www.facebook.com/ads/website_custom_audiences/ and https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation). If you do not agree to the use of Facebook Website Custom Audiences, you can object at https://www.facebook.com/ads/website_custom_audiences/.

(2) Google AdWords & Conversion Tracking

We run Google AdWords ads and use Google conversion tracking in this context. When you click on one of our ads, Google sets a cookie on your computer. With the help of this cookie, our ads can be displayed within the Google advertising network based on previous visits to our website (https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1752334?hl=de). For more information on the cookie technology used, see Google’s information on website statistics and the privacy policies (http://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html and http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/).

This cookie technology provides Google and us with information about clicks on the ad and redirection to our website. This information is used exclusively for statistical analysis and ad optimisation. The statistics include the total number of users who clicked on our ad and, if applicable, whether they were forwarded to one of our pages marked with a conversion tag. Using these statistics we can determine which search terms led to increased clicks on our ads and which ad led to a contact via the contact form.

You have the option to disable the use of cookies by Google (https://www.google.com/settings/u/0/ads/authenticated) or by a third party (http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/).

However, Google and we will still receive statistical information about the number of users and the time of the site visit. You can block inclusion in these statistics by using additional browser programs (for example the Ghostery add-on).

(3) Google Remarketing

We use the dynamic remarketing function of Google AdWords, a service from Google. With this technology we can display targeted advertising to you after your visit to our website via automatically stored cookies. This is based on the products and services you viewed during your last visit to our website.

If you do not wish to receive user-based advertising from Google, you can deactivate the ads using Google’s ad settings (https://www.google.com/settings/u/0/ads/authenticated?hl=de). More information about Google’s use of cookies can be found in Google’s privacy policy (http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/).

Revocation, access

You may request information about your personal data free of charge and without giving reasons at any time. Furthermore, you may revoke your consent to the use of personal data at any time with future effect and without giving reasons. You may at any time request correction, partial or complete deletion or blocking of the data collected about you.
